Draft policy: DFHA should review and approve this text, confirm actual operational practices, and obtain appropriate legal advice before launch.

Privacy Policy

Last updated: {{ now()->toFormattedDateString() }}

This draft explains how the DFHA website handles information submitted through its forms. It is not a substitute for review by the Foundation.

Information submitted

Depending on the form, the website may receive names, email addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth, gender, postal addresses, education or volunteer details, emergency-contact details, messages, and donation amounts. Newsletter sign-up stores an email address and subscription status.

How information is used

Information is used to process student and volunteer registrations, respond to partnership and volunteer inquiries, administer confirmed newsletter subscriptions, process and reconcile donations, and operate administrator accounts.

Payments and email

Online donation checkout is handled by Paystack. This website does not request or store payment-card details. Email delivery for account and newsletter messages depends on the mail service configured by DFHA. Review the relevant providers’ privacy information before using their services.

Access and requests

Access to partnership and volunteer inquiries and newsletter subscriber records is restricted to Super Admin accounts. To ask about information submitted through this site, contact {{ $content['contact_email'] ?? 'hello@dfha.org' }}. DFHA should confirm its identity-check, retention, correction, and deletion procedures before publishing a final policy.

Cookies and browser storage

The website uses browser local storage to remember the light or dark theme selected on that device. The payment provider may use its own browser technologies during hosted checkout; consult its privacy information for details.

Policy updates

Publish a contact process and an effective date when this draft has been reviewed and adopted. Update this page when information practices change.
